Born and educated in England, he has worked around the world studying how employees and executives succeed or fail. He has worked for
both large multi-national firms and for small start-ups, and knows first-hand how to overcome such obstacles as employee motivation, competitive
threats, and managing during adverse conditions. He was sales manager for an airline whose only hub was in the middle of a civil war---nevertheless
becoming top salesperson in North America. He started a small business with one part-time employee and built it to a million-dollar business---despite a devastating fire.
David continues to travel the world, roughly 200 days a year. His writingand speaking are symbiotic. As senior contributing editor for Airwaysmagazine, he interviews the top management of all the world’s
airlines, then writes about what they do right---and not so right! He cites examples of successes in Korea or Germany or the US into his illustrations
from which everybody can benefit. Audiences in emerging markets appreciate his expertise in cultural sensitivity as he demonstrates to the new entrepreneurs the latest, most effective, leadership skills.
A prolific writer, David publishes 2-3 magazine articles each month in
international journals, and he will publish his fifth book, Tales from the Trenches, next year. A new edition of his book, Sales SuperStars was just
published in India. The Essential Guide to Short-Term Mission Trips, released just last year, has just gone into its second printing.
David’s passion is volunteerism, and has initiated and led humanitarian work trips across America and to the Dominican Republic and Beirut. He
has served his church as deacon, elder, and mission committee chairman. He has been a Rotarian for 22 years, serving three times as club president, and
was awarded the prestigious Citation for Meritorious Service by the president of Rotary International. David founded International Children’s Aid Foundation and serves as ICAF president. The all-volunteer foundation helps
orphaned children in Romania with early childhood education, computer training, and other tangible assistance. David hosts several groups of volunteers each year who go to Romania to help the mission
David is a pilot and lives in southern New Jersey with his wife and eight-year-old son.
